Today my class and I went to the Wadi to explore erosion. We went on a hot spring Monday but that didn't ruin the trip. The whole fifth grade went and it was really fun and enjoyable. We walked a lot during the time in the field trip but as I walked I wondered about how the wadi was eroded and many other questions. Later after reaching our destination in the Wadi we met with Dr.Bill the geoligist
and he explained many different things about the Wadi. One thing Dr.Bill talked about that surprised me was how the lime stone in the wadi was made. The answer was really surprising to me cause right after the question he started talking about fossils. I thought how does this relate to the question and then towards the end he had said the limestone was created by the fossil. Another fun thing that I experienced on the trip was the hike. Me as Tia I love hiking and I have experienced it many times so unlike other students opinions I really enjoyed the fun and adventure. I saw lots of stone and small particles of lime stone which was really cool and I saw how the water erosion worked and how it effected the land. I think that the wadi is a great place to explore this kind of science. Also I wonder how long did it take to get the wadi to what it is now. Over all the trip was adventurous and fun and I really enjoyed it.
